NCC 2022 Delayed

NCC 2022 Update: The Australian Building Codes Board have announced that:

1. Issue of the final version of NCC 2022 is likely to be pushed back until at least October 2022;

2. Transitional periods are likely to be introduced for the proposed residential energy efficiency and livable housing provisions

Whilst the announcement is a welcome one, the need to delay final versions of the NCC (BCA) just a month out from its adoption highlights the current uncertainty surrounding the proposed code changes and the need for greater industry consultation.
